What happens if employers do not invest in employee training and development?

There are different consequences in not having a proper training and development program in the organization. When workers lack the knowledge necessary to confidently carry out their duties, and it will reduce the output of the employees. Employers frequently assign the duty of training to workers with more experience to save time. However, these workers frequently aren't allowed more time to do their own work. They either hurriedly complete the training or left it to the new hire to ask questions. This will reduce the performance and productivity of the employees. Employees need to be motivated to do a good job at their occupations in order to achieve the goals of the organization and it will move them up the corporate ladder as well.
